Starwheel — Indigenous Astronomy

A rotating starwheel was designed to be used as an educational tool to help locate specific constellations (or skyfigures) that were important to the indigenous people, and show their strong links to aboriginal dreamtime stories. It featured glow in-the-dark spot colour ink used to highlight those constellations.

The starwheel was to be used in an outdoor education programme for secondary school students, so had to be durable, weather resistant, and inspiring.
